晩秋のキタキツネ

この時期には珍しく穏やかな陽気に包まれた午後に、1匹のキタキツネが姿を現しました。
ちょうど換毛の時期で丸っこく愛らしい姿でしたが、時折見せる鋭い目つきは野生を感じさせます。
しばらく地面を掘って餌を探したり、日向ぼっこをした後、森へ帰って行きました。
On an afternoon blessed with unseasonably mild weather for this time of year, a Ezo red fox made an appearance.
It was in the middle of its molting season and looked plump and adorable, but the sharp glances it occasionally cast gave a sense of its wild nature.
After spending some time digging in the ground in search of food and basking in the sun, it returned to the forest.
