季節はずれの紅葉
暑い日が続く中、場内を歩いていると季節外れに赤く染まった葉が目に入りました。
これは通常の紅葉ではなく、夏の高温と雨不足によって引きこされる現象のようです。
いわば「木の夏バテ」のようなもので、赤く染まった葉は数時間で落ちてしまいますが、緑の葉との非常に美しいコントラストを見せてくれます。

As I was walking through the park during this streak of hot weather, I noticed some leaves that had turned red—a sight out of season.
This isn’t the usual autumn foliage; it seems to be a phenomenon caused by the high summer temperatures and lack of rain.
It’s sort of like “summer fatigue” in trees.
Although the red leaves fall within a few hours, they create a stunning contrast with the green leaves.
